Workshop: Panel of Experts on Audience Building

Description
The purpose of the Audience Building panel is to support community organizations in free, creative, and affordable paths to advertise their concerts and build programs that will continue to expand and delight their audiences. The panelists bring a wide range of expertise in audience development. Bruce Bronstein will be the opening panelist and share on different styles of music and the use of various media that draw audiences to the renowned Ferguson Center for the Arts. Laura Jackson Loo will share on audience development from a consultant’s perspective on creative ways that non-profit music organizations can use to build their audience base. And Robert Walters, a.k.a. Bobby BlackHat, will share information from a musician’s perspective. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from experts who can shed light on how to build your audiences in creative and engaging new ways.

Presenter Kim Hinson currently serves as Executive Director of Advancement for the Arts for Christopher Newport University’s Ferguson Center for the Arts and the Mary M. Torggler Fine Arts Center. She has over 33 years of management experience in fundraising, museum operations, marketing, public relations, event planning and strategic planning.
