Getting here is easy!

Christopher Newport University’s Ferguson Center for the Arts is located in the heart of Newport News, Virginia. We’re three hours south of Washington, D.C., 45 minutes from the Virginia Beach oceanfront and 20 minutes east of historic Williamsburg. General show parking is available in the lot located in front of the Ferguson Center and in the parking garage directly behind the venue. Patrons may also park in any lot on campus after 5:30 p.m. Valet parking is also available at $30 per car. Our Diamonstein Concert Hall lobby opens 60 minutes prior to event start time.

From Richmond, Charlottesville, & Northern Virginia

  • I-64 East to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Route 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Jefferson Avenue, then Warwick Boulevard.
  • This street becomes Avenue of the Arts after Warwick Boulevard.
  • To visit the Ticket Office during business hours, use the left lane, which leads to a traffic circle, and follow Ferguson Center signage. There are three 15-minute Ticket Office parking spaces near the entrance.
  • For event parking, use the right lane and follow signage to the Parking Garage.
  • Handicap parking is available in the parking garage.
  • For drop-off, use the left lane and follow drop-off signage.

From Winchester & Northwestern Virginia

  • U.S. 66 East to Route 17 South to Fredericksburg.
  • I-95 South to I-295 South to I-64 East.
  • I-64 East to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Route 17).
