Richmond Ballet presents American Masters, an evening of elegance, drama, and fascinating rhythms from three of the most celebrated choreographers in American dance history. The diverse program includes Jerome Robbins’ In the Night, featuring three contrasting sets of lovers who meet beneath the evening’s sky, all set to the music of Chopin; José Limón’s masterpiece The Moor’s Pavane, a deeply passionate work that draws its inspiration from Shakespeare’s Othello, and Who Cares?, George Balanchine’s salute to New York City performed to Gershwin classics.

This performance is made possible in part by a grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
