Benjamin Grosvenor, Piano

This performance marks the second year of our unique relationship with The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), one of the finest, most visible orchestras in the country. Now in its 85th season, the sixth under the leadership of Music Director Christoph Eschenbach, who is also the Music Director of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Orchestra has played to great acclaim in events of national and international importance, including state occasions, presidential inaugurations and official holiday celebrations. Its performances range from bold new works to beloved favorites, chamber music to original educational programming, as well as innovative pops programming in almost every genre. Founded in 1931, the Orchestra has, throughout its history, been committed to artistic excellence and music education.
