“The 90 minutes of dancing, songs, and percussion will have your inner child smiling.”
~The New York Times
Combining elements of dance, music and theatre with unbridled creativity and energy, the internationally acclaimed performance troupe Mayumana will take Ferguson Center audiences by storm with its funky moves and cutting-edge blend of movement and technology.
Since its first show in 1996, the multicultural group from Tel Aviv has grown into a worldwide phenomenon, entertaining millions across the globe. Playing specially made instruments, the 11 gifted performers of Mayumana (from the Hebrew word, “Meyumanut,” which means skill) will bring their diverse talents to Currents, a piece inspired by the rivalry between Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla, inventors and pioneers in the early days of electrical engineering. Mayumana’s rhythmic genius and synchronized perfection leave “no dull moment… from the very first moment of the show the audience is spellbound.” (De Zondag, Belgium)
