Newport News-native Heather Parcells performed in her first professional job dancing at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg during her senior year of high school. She received her BFA from the Florida State University, moved to New York and in 10 days landed the role of Velma Kelly in the National Tour of Chicago. Parcells made her Broadway debut in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” and her numerous television and film credits include Every Little Step, Guiding Light, Good Morning America, The Today Show and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also appeared on the 100th Episode of Dancing with the Stars with Mario Lopez. In New York City, she is on the faculty of The Broadway Artists Alliance, and has taught for The Broadway Dance Center, Broadway Classroom and Camp Broadway. Torggler Summer Vocal Institute students will accompany Parcells during her performance.
